Hi-Tech toys have always been popular. When I was young, I marveled at the Atari 2600, then Nintendo came out and it was amazing. Toys like Furby and Tickle me Elmo have caused national shopping crazes. This is a double edged sword though, we have already seen the effects of kids being sedentary. I will have to say that the virtual pets are cool, you can play with them without feeding or cleaning up behind them.
