The medical community never ceases to amaze me. With this research,maybe a cure for cancer isn’t that far off. The USA has some of the most brilliant minds in the world, it is amazing what you can do if you live in freedom.

We attract the most brilliant minds in the world, we dont always produce them ourselves. Most US PhD. programs and post-doctoral positions are heavily subscribed by foreign nationals. Our government supports science through NIH, NSF and other funding organizations. This support is what attracts people to the country. It comes down to economics. China is starting to recruit US trained Chinese nationals back to chinese universities, academians are driven by economics just as much as anyone else.
